Covid-19 Travel Information
How to navigate through emerging situation?
As travel comes back to normal, we should remain aware and vigilant for personal and social safety. We diligently monitor global developments and follow the advice of public health authorities, medical experts, and officials in the destinations we operate. In order to promote safe travel, we have implemented several Covid protocols. The specifics may vary by destination, but we’re including some guidelines including the practice of physical distancing, the use of face masks, and sanitation practices.
Pre-Trip:
All Travelers should ensure that they are able to enter the country of destination as well as participate in all planned activities. Please visit the relevant embassy or consulate website for the latest on what you might need to travel. To comply with safety protocols, we may require all Travelers to complete a Covid-19 self-assessment and waiver prior to departure.
On Trip:
- Face coverings: Please remember to bring a face mask as they may be required in some spaces while on your trip.
- Hand Hygiene: Throughout the tour, you will have access to hand sanitizer, but we recommend you carry your own, especially for your flights.

Covid-19 FAQs
What is the vaccination requirement for my trip? Do I need to be vaccinated to travel with Zhoola?
Vaccination is not mandated but we recommend it as your fellow travelers or the host may be sensitive to this requirement. Zhoola does not collect the personal details of a Traveler or Host’s vaccination records. However, you must refer to the terms on the booking page of the trip as there could be specific asks from your host expert in this regard. We also encourage you to keep up to date with any vaccine requirements for your destination. It can be found on the destination’s local embassy website.
Do Hosts require Travelers to get vaccinated?
It is acceptable for a Host to require proof of vaccination before confirming a Traveler’s spot on a desired trip. We recommend communicating clear expectations of safety protocols that a Host desires for their trip prior to launch.
What if a Traveler is not vaccinated?
You can join a trip if you meet the mandated requirement to enter the destination (country/state) and the booking terms of the trip.
What if I test positive before the trip?
Your confirmed spot will be cancelled and the Host will be notified. Please refer to our cancellation policy for more details.
What happens if I test positive on the trip?
We will follow the destination country’s Covid quarantine protocol. Any costs or fees that incur due to a positive Covid-19 result will be the responsibility of the affected person to cover. This is why we highly recommend all Travelers should buy insurance.
Does the US require a negative Covid-19 test to enter back into the country?
As on Jan 31, 2023 CDC doesn’t need a negative Covid-19 test report. However, we encourage you to check CDC guidelines before finalizing the desired trip.
What happens if I can't leave the US and not able to make the trip?
